 Time to sign up for the 2016 local - here are the race/inspection/banquet details:

KSBDA Race Families,

 

It is time to start signing up for our local race.  We will have information at the race this weekend and have the details listed below.

Please let me know if you plan to race the local but won't be able to make it to the race this weekend so we can get you signed up.

It is important to get at least Tee shirt info nailed down this weekend so as a minimum please fill out and return the attached race sign up form.  We can get payment later but need shirt info to get our order in.

Local Inspection 

When:  Saturday June 4 2016 – from 9 AM to 1 PM – sign up for inspection time slot required.

Where: West Sound Beverage Warehouse, Dauntless Drive, Poulsbo, WA (Bottom of track)

Note – cars impounded after inspection and held overnight until the race on Sunday 05 June 2016 when they will be brought to the top of the track for a quick re-weigh in before the race.

What:  In preparation for the one day race on June 04 all cars must complete a body off inspection of all components to ensure they are in accordance with the applicable instructions in the All American Soap Box Derby (AASBD) car building instructions.  Stock and Super Stock Car Plans can be found on the AASBD.com website.  Racers should be prepared to make corrections to all non compliant conditions prior to completion of the inspection process so be prepared with tools and parts.  The car and driver will be weighed to ensure they meet the applicable weight requirements.

Local Champion Banquet

When: June 04 2015 From 6 PM to 7:30PM

Where:  Peace Lutheran Parish Hall 1234 Riddell Rd. NE

Cost:  Race entry and driver’s shirt package for $65 includes free banquet for racer.  See attached Fee sheet for additional shirts and tickets.  Please complete a sheet for each racer.

What: Raffle, Games, Race pairing selections, 2015 champion presentations, dinner and desert.

Dinners and beverages are provided with purchase of banquet tickets and everyone is requested to bring a desert for the desert table.

Local Race

When; Sunday 05 June 2016 Set up begins at 0700 (meet at Starbucks 0630), scales

open at 0730 and racing starts at 0900.

Where: Top of Dauntless Drive, Poulsbo, WA 

What: One double elimination race in both the Stock and Super Stock divisions following the AASBD local race rules.  Winner in each division becomes the “Local” champ for 2016 and travels back to Akron, OH to represent the KSBDA at the All American Championship Race on 16 Jul 2016. 

Note: First and second place (in case first place defaults) cars require post race inspection to ensure they meet the applicable building instructions.  Once inspection is complete the cars are impounded until they are ready for shipping to Akron.  Additional details for the shipping and racing in Akron will be provided to each of the Champions at that time.
