Local History

The Ohio Valley Soap Box Derby was organized in 2015 with the inaugural race on June 27, 2015.  There were 13 kids that participated in the Stock Division.  Peyton Neely was our very first Stock Champion who went on to represent the City of Glen Dale, WV and the Ohio Valley Soap Box Derby at the 78th running of the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron, OH from July 19 - 25, 2015
