Tex Finsterwald, a Soap Box Derby competitor in the Fifties, was local race director in Flint, MI, for two decades beginning in the mid-Sixties. He currently serves as a member of the Rally Commission and is an assistant regional director. Tex maintains a sizable collection of Soap Box Derby memorabilia.
