Mille Esque

Mille Esque was active in the Soap Box Derby for decades, as a Derby parent, a local race volunteer and as a member of the All-American Soap Box Derby’s headquarters staff. She was a board member of the Akron Area Soap Box Derby organization from 1978 until 2005, serving as treasurer for 25 years. She joined the All-American staff in 1985, in financial operations and as race city coordinator. She retired after the championship race in 2007. Millie Esque, whose passion for the youth racing program was known throughout the Soap Box Derby world, died in October 2011.
