Don Huminsky

Don Huminsky’s relationship with the Soap Box Derby began as a racer in Gary, Indiana, in 1974. He won the local race the following year at age 14, and has been involved ever since. He later staged construction clinics and served as chief inspector in Gary, as technical advisor to Derby programs in Hammond and Valparaiso, Indians, and after a move to Pennsylvania, as Derby director in Beaver County. He joined the All-American Soap Box Derby National Control Board in the 1979, and served as chief inspector from 1981 through 1995.
