Alan Howe

Alan Howe began his association with the Soap Box Derby in 1993, as assistant director of the race in Washington, D.C. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, he became active in the Columbus race where he has served as local director since 2002, and as association president since 2003. Alan has been a member of the Rally Commission since 2003, and served as Rally Commissioner from 2005 through 2012. He also has served on the All-American’s Board of Directors and as a member of the National Control Board. Alan was the driving force behind the establishment of the popular Rally Challenge competition.
