There is no charge to use the car, new 1st time Chicago race fees are $50 for the day, includes use of the car for the day, race fee, t-shirt, plaque with photo, awards ceremony dinner for the family. Groupon coupons are only for new first time Chicago Local racers that do not have a rally ID assigned to their name. The Chicago 2023 All American Local race will be held in Naperville, IL. Rain date will be Sunday June 4. Track location is on Frontenac Road at Diehl Road in Naperville, IL. The Greater Chicago Soap Box Derby Association will be hosting an official All American Local Soap Box Derby Race on Saturday June 3, 2023. This is an exciting family fun event that you will not want to miss. we will be running stock, superstock, and masters. We have several cars available that are available, please let us know if you need to borrow a car to race. Next visit the following page to find out which division you will race in. Location of Track: Use google maps and search for "Chicago soap box derby rally race" Race day app. Chicago is the only race city with a website to track your racing times. You will need to download 2 registration forms and mail them in, racer profile form can be filled out online, they must be received 2 weeks before the race date. You can register up until race day, howevery your racers name may not appear on their shirt. All drivers are required to wear their Official Soap Box Derby t-shirt on race day Spectators: Racing starts around 9am. We are generally finished racing around 3pm. No charge for spectators. You're welcome to bring a lawn chair as there is no seating. There will be a porta potty on site and often we have a concession stand during lunchtime. When you enter the intersection of Diehl and Frontenac Road you will see the road closed signs. Just ease past the barricades and let someone know you are there to watch the race and they will direct you where to park. If you have kids that are at least seven years old they are welcome to take a test run down the track in one of our cars. Just let someone know you're interested in doing that.
