Meet the 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees

- The candidate has made a meaningful leadership contribution as a volunteer for a local race organization or the All-American Soap Box Derby for a minimum of 20 years.
- The candidate is a sponsor, individual, company or organization that has contributed significant financial support or meritorious contributions to the Soap Box Derby organization.
- The candidate is a former racer who has participated in a sanctioned local race of the All-American Soap Box Derby at least 10 years ago.

Nominations will be reviewed for accuracy and compliance by the ISBD staff. Complete nominations will be sent to the Nomination Committee for review of the value of the nominee’s contribution(s) to the International Soap Box Derby.
Your nomination submission is the primary tool used to determine the merits of each nominee for induction into the Soap Box Derby Hall of Fame. Please refrain from sending petitions, photos, books, etc. If additional materials are required, the ISBD will contact you.

Soap Box Derby Hall of Fame Museum
The featured vehicles include a replica of one of the first cars to race in an event that led to the first Soap Box Derby race driven by Bob Gravett and is now the derby’s official emblem. The collection also includes a replica of the infamous winning car from 1973, driven by James Gronen who lost his title for attaching a magnet to the nose of his car. This cheating scandal led officials to examine cars more closely both before and after races.
The Hall of Fame building is open May – September (closed October – April).
