Dale Russell

Dale Russell has been a “go to” volunteer for the technical conduct of All-American Soap Box Derby for more than 25 years. He joined the National Control Board in 1986, serving over the years in a variety of roles including that of Chairman from 2003 through 2006. Dale Russell has spear-headed recent enhancements at Derby Downs, including modifying the race car-starting mechanism to make it more efficient and overseeing the addition of the permanent canopy structure over the starting line.
