Norm Perry’s association with the Soap Box Derby spans more than 60 year, first as participant in Atlanta in 1946. After retiring as a quality control inspector at NASA in 1989, Norm became a volunteering inspector at the regional Central Florida Soap Box Derby in 1994. Norm has served as an All-American Soap Box Derby regional director since 1996. Norm had promoted the regional Soap Box Derby program by lending his technical expertise to a number of network television productions. Norm also deigned Derby Park in Sanford, Florida. Norm brings innovation to the Soap Box Derby and insures that every youngster has an opportunity to race.
